The Submachine series is absolutely incredible. I feel like it is the pinnacle of point-and-click adventure. It is eerie and immersive, with challenging-but-not-impossible puzzles, beautiful graphics and phenomenal sound effects. I can't say enough good things about it, it's the one series I return to again and again. I even bought 1-8 when they were available for purchase as a HQ download. They're incredible.
Hahaha. The randomly generated clues are hilarious in context. Needs more complex cases/further cases after the "finale"... A second level with bigger grids? Still, a lot of fun!!
I'm not sure if I've commented before, but I love this game so much I replay it from time to time, despite how short/easy it is once you know what to do. The eerie feel of the game alone is worth 5 minutes to play through and chill your blood all over again.
Some of the platforms have collision issues; I've fallen through and died twice when I was over the platform graphic. I do like the scroll method, though. It's very smooth.
Make the graphics like in the icon--that'd be awesome-looking. Work on varying the speeds of the meteors (some faster than others) and a note at the beginning about controls (I fiddled with the mouse and died before I realized it was arrow-keys; some people don't read the "instructions" notes).
I look forward to seeing this improved :)
This has a ton of potential, I think, but better graphics would turn a "like" into a "love", and a more interactive/attractive opening menu would really polish this off.
Beautifully executed. I really enjoyed solving this, although there were a few puzzles that I needed the walkthrough on. Took me a while, but the atmosphere and story were too good to give up on. 4/5****
I'd like to see some achievements for this. Some things, like "10 quests completed" or something would be simple enough, I think. Or have some special mega-quest (which, obviously, would require some more work) for an achievement.
