In addition to some of these other comments, I would add that the text really needs work. I understand that not everyone - game developers included - is a native speaker of English, but if you're going to make a game for an English-speaking audience, you need to spend some time on the English you put into it. It feels amateurish, otherwise.
Has anyone else been bothered by the fact that, when purchasing ship improvements, the amount of money you have is hidden by the "Available in the iPhone app store" button?
Is anyone else bothered by the fact that when you get the assignment for a new mission the description of the mission is cut off and there's no way to scroll down and read the rest? I find it really annoying.
The lack of a save function is a major problem, as is the inability to remove a tile, especially if you put it there by accident. Great concept - actual game needs work.
