You see that's just the thing, it is a very emotional game. Emo as we've come to know it is a term used for a certain group of people but that wasn't always what the whole idea was. Dark tones and muted colors are often used to evoke a sense of calm and true expression not always a sense of dark and dread. It's best to consider these things when looking at a game before judging a book by its cover.
The mechanic seems a little off. I get to certain bosses and they're getting like 12-14 combos with extra turns and I'm not finding much of anything. Maybe I just have terrible luck but it makes the game way way hard even with upgrades when the bosses can just one shot you.
1 health with a full board and there were absolutely no reds on it. Not even with my random color changer. This after having already used my other oh sh** yellow button. Random is what makes the game hard.
Games like this are difficult to make but well worth the way. I was an avid fan of the final fantasy series when I was younger and I look forward to seeing how this series progresses. Good work dev! <3
Though you may think that it all depends on what planets or buildings you control. Going for shipyards first is a surefire way to out produce ships. Or going for the lasers or very large planets to stifle their production or boost yours. There is by no means complete imbalance in this game mechanic.
You just didn't know how to work it.
40 is realatively easy, you have ok multitasking skills. Above 60 and you are really good, probably gamed for a while. Above 100 and you've learned to get used to the game mechanics or you're a pro gamer/hardcore female gamer, or you're cheating.
This game is truly one that I adore, though it is not incredibly detailed and graphic like most people seem to like anymore it was very emotionally inspiring. I adore games that have such intellectual pulls to them, abstract and pulling out some thought. Bravo on your creation.
It was so entertaining that for the first time with a difficult game I didn't feel the need to go find a walkthrough just to make it go faster. Definitely challenging and entertaining.
Ways to beat it are 1)Large graveyard with 15 soldiers. 2)City hall with 5 leaders. 3) 3 Research facilities with 5 scientists and 50%+ happiness. 4)Reclaim every city block on board. Wonder if there are more.
So the only thing that really set me off about this is that if you go into battle and accidentally forget your weapon because you had to drag it into your inventory to refine it you're stuck in a state in which well you're stuck is the easiest way to say it. That is if the enemies are so below you that they can't hit you. Especially when you have high dexterity.
As a hardcore fan of the old FF games and old NES RPGs I applaud your work and yes the inter chapter saving is just brilliant I love it. Two thumbs up or 6/5 if I could!
