A real masterpiece of gameplay, in my opinion. After getting to day 100 on normal mode, I really, really enjoy hard mode. Level 20 is my record, there. It REALLY forces me to allocate resources with enormous foresight. The real-time aspect of having to upgrade walls--or even sell them and build backup walls behind them at the last second--is really satisfying.
If you guys put out an expansion at some point, I think having to defend randomly generated locations every, say, 20 levels, would make normal more varied and interesting. Perhaps like "Civilians located northwest! Cover them until rescue arrives!" would be cool, and you have to build a small, fully functional base, that needs to survive one round. The reward for saving the civilians would make selling that whole outpost still a benefit to the player, somehow.
Great job, everyone involved.
Incredible game. Got to 87 before had to leave. My strategy in the end game is to just build walls, like hold shift and left click wall spastically. This seems to work REALLY well, as in sort of an exploit. Might be something to look into. even the level 1 walls, if built contiunously, stop pretty much any onslaught, at least as far as i got to. gg brilliant game.
would have preferred the pieces were more easily mixed up than they already are now. If you could make every piece look like a pawn/bishop/queen/king it would improve gameplay greatly.
Thanks for your feedback :) The late game will change in the next time anyways, so this might be obsolete
