10 minutes is not a short video. and it's for a medicine for people with type 2 diabetes, which I will never get, as I am in a monogamous relationship.
the videos where they make booze are actually short videos, and about something people care about.
so, I spent about 45 minutes playing this game, and 20 of them were watching videos about a product I wouldn't buy even if I did have type 2 diabetes, cuz holy cow, did you see what the possible side effects are?
I won't get into it, since there may be children reading this.
auto attack is great for most situations, but it would be great if there were an "override auto-attack" button, perhaps the space bar, for emergencies.
one thing that i'm really liking about this game, (and I know many others will disagree), is that in most every rpg I've played, in-game money becomes useless, because the baddies drop TOO high quality goods, and I end up with a bazillion dollars in gold or whatever, while getting all of the very best equips for free. this game forces a work ethic upon the player, and real choices about when and on what to spend karma shards, to advance quickest. my poor choices earlier have me stuck in the freeze section, but i'm working my way up to handling it, now that I know what NOT to waste time and karma shards on.
ok, after getting over the initial awe of the graphics, and playing enough to make lvl10, i'd like to add a few comments, and 1 (petty) complaint. for one thing, the load times aren't as bad as the posted comments suggest. I've had it freeze completely maybe 3 times, but every load has been 1min at most, and usually shorter. so far, at least, the game hasn't boxed me in to where I I either HAVE to grind endlessly (though a bit of grinding is required for ANY good game) or HAVE to spend real money. good balance. that being said, I probably WILL spend a few bucks, just for convenience sake, and because, hell, great game, toss the guy a few bones. my biggest complaint is the stash box. the background for the items is white, and so is the number showing how much I have of an item, and I am old and have feeble eyesight. blue would be nice, but even yellow would be an improvement.
I mean, seriously. if I had accidentally married Bea Arthur, our children would have been conceived in less time than it took me to finish this game. assuming I could concentrate on baseball scores that hard.
yet another game I WISH I could play...but I use a laptop touchpad, rather than a mouse. seriously, other than people effing off at work, does ANYBODY use a desktop and mouse anymore? or is it just us poor people, who have to spend a little extra for a laptop, since we can't afford homes with room for a desktop?
at least when your friends issue you a challenge over a weekend, alcohol does not seem to be a factor. nice game, btw, and i hope you polish it up and make a sequel.
what do the different colors on the crown icons from finished battles indicate? did i miss something?
note to the people complaining about being ambushed from behind in some levels; i agree, sneak attacks from the rear are totaly unheard of in war,and are a serious flaw in this game. :) i always leave my spearmen to guard my ranged units from behind, and haven't had any problems.
your games are a real pleasure for those of us who use a touchpad.
thanks for another fun but not mind-warpingly-overcomplicated strategy game. if i had one wish, it'd b an update that allowed us to play as the bad guys.
lol yes! :D
