Timmay, the bar at the bottom of the screen tells you where you are on your lap. Its up to you to work ouot what you are collecting. It tells you what you've collected.
auto98, thanks for your comments. The gun is deliberately inaccurate at the start, you can upgrade its accuracy in the shop between levels. Its still easy enough to get through the first few levels and build up your weaponry though.
