Tip:
At early phase of the game try to unlock as many kongpanion slots as you can and use only those with +coin bonus and +magnet. In this way you can get dozens times more cash from coin collecting than from distance reached. This should speed up a lot your progress. Later on switch your kongpanions for thrust, fuel, fuel recharge and bounce for easy distance achievement.
To dev:
A few days ago i've bought Kongpanion autofeeder, today i'm checking shop menu and its inactive and ready to buy. If you removed my bought one at least give me my 10k badge coins back, cause its really hard to collect such an amount.
Definitely needs some badges, and yes plz set the NPC target priority to closest one, cause their running from side to side is really annoying especially in time attack quests. Very good game.
