way too slow for a mario game... many of the original mario features are missing (looking down was really useful in the original, and also where's yoshi? mario isn't mario without yoshi imho) or are poorly done (those left behind turtle shells aren't very useful and hard to control).
As it was said before, those small blocks are difficult to master (you have to land on them in just the right spot).
Levels 3 and 4 have nothing to do with the style (what's with that business shoes sound??), but the egyptian theme is nice (and fits well)... got bored at this level, so I don't know what other themes look like).
oh, alsmost forgoot... where's the 3D part? the look of the characters? that's not what I understand by 3D (I made 2D platform games with character generated in 3DSMax, but I never considered those games to be 3D). Even Mario RPG was more 3D than this (and a great game, btw)
this is not a game, it's just a randomizer... I wrote a similar poem generator at age 10 in BASIC on an old Spectrum Z80 (actually it was a Romanian replica of the Z80)
didn't get bored on the first game... but this one just doesn't bring enough new stuff to keep you from getting bored (maybe unless you didn't just play 36 levels straight on the other game).
great game! original and entertaining. Scoreboard doesn't work though... redirects to a dead server (bot.armorstudios.com). Hope my score wasn't lost because of this. I played one time (got all levels) and reached 41,288,173 points!!! The scoring in this game is at galactic proportions, btw. I even got over 10,000,000 points at one hole (level 30).
wtf was that!? a 10 min game with a flower-shooting tank...
the final "boss" is not nearly difficult enough... I got the lock open before the princess got a chance to do anything
it gets really boring after a while... once you go to the maximum upgrade (small gun + large gun + thick bubble shield) there's not much interesting going on... you just keep shooting from bubble to bubble until the ends of the world...
The second time I played the game I got the max upgrade very fast (I just kept spiraling around the starting bubble so difficulty increases the slowest... got a lot of bubble-only worlds this way)... then I just started looking for worthy adversaries (keep to one direction), and after a few of the big ones I got bored...
I just left only one home standing in my village and kept defending that one while trying to crush the giants... Got 2nd on the score list this way, and I'll probably be first soon :D
I find it very rudimentary... adds nothing new to the genre. I was already on level 2 when I noticed that there's a fuel level (even though I was collecting what seemed to be fuel). First weapon is almost useless (hard to control, very slow fire rate).
Bugs: when game ends (very abruptly, not even an explosion or something) most sprites remain on screen (over the menu), some even carry on with their animation (like those flying drilling machines or whatever they are)
