This is very promising! I would sure like to have more than one savegame though, so I can try a dark or balanced character wothout having to erase my lvl 17 explorer.
That super zombie shows up with distressing frequency! I'm aware that bitching about RNG is pointless, but come on! 11 out of my last 20 encounters were super zombie taking away ammo. The, of course, I ran into the guy selling armour for 50 ammo. (I have at no point in the game had more than 42 ammo...)
Very good little game! Nice art. Funny voices and good music that never becomes annoying. Simple and straightforward. I enjyed this game far more than I expected! (And I actually like that there is no twist at the end. Sometimes you just want something elegant and uncomplicated.) Very well done!
Very nice and well-made game. The character, however, is a little slippery, especially around the edges of platforms. This makes especially the last level quite frustrating. Other than that: Very good.
I am sorry to sound negative, but this trial and error stuff is the laziest form of gameplay imaginable. There is no challenge or reward. Just an endless row of mandatory failures, memorizing where the traps are. You can do better than this, I am sure. Jumping puzzles are fine, but constantly springing nasty surprises simply discourages the player from playing the game, instead of encouraging them to play more.
Addendum: After some experimenting I find that the afterburner doesn't cut out when you reach docking distance. This allows the ship to approach closer than intended, and start pushing the station away. Go AFK for a moment while returning to base, and you return to find yourself trailing the station away from the star...
Umm. Please help? Somehow my ship, while on autopilot, bumped into one of the stations, set it moving, and now it's leaving the solar system...
(Corvette, using medium afterburner, if that helps)
Att. Devs: Character suddenly started moving backwards away from the point I click for him to go, making the game impossible to play. Save and restart did not solve the problem. (Very first playthrough. Second level in dungeon. Playing Lost Miner w/ Knight Sword [rare], Cyclops Eye Ring, Dogtags [rare])
Right - I may just be dense here, but how do you get the Fourth Wall achievement? I have clicked every Big Dino and 8bit logo I could find, read the credits and even visited the homepages mentioned there, but I just can't seem to get that one. I have a sneaking suspicion I am overlooking something obvious :(
Apart from that - Very, very good game! Sound, graphics, story - all was immensely enjoyable!
it's not technically obvious, but you are misunderstanding! 'visit' the developers doesn't mean go to our websites (although it's encouraged!), there is actually a place in the game where we're just hanging out.
As an addition or alternative to what Saigneur mentioned, I could see this as the combat part of a more elaborate story-based game. Thus different arenas could lend themselves more towards different weapons or styles, which would make playing as an archer more viable.
Thank you for your feedback. Glad you enjoythe space adventure :)
