The offline mode not working is breaking the fun of the game. I believe this is a case of the developers intentionally handicapping the game to drive more cash out of the users; for example, a future update that allows you to pay in Kreds to enable offline progress. Game creators on Kongregate generate income through repeat views, and the current model works because users return frequently to buy more upgrades. With this model, users will leave the page open in the background 24/7 to get the same progress, meaning the developers will have one pageview that lasts for a couple days instead of 10-20 over the same time, per user.
If this isnt fixed I wont be playing anymore. It has been a fun ride but I cant continue playing if this is how things are going. Purposely breaking your game to try to squeeze money out of people is not a practice anyone should support, surely the revenue generated from ~18m views to date would be enough for a team to continue work. Disappointed.
