This! This is the type of game I want more of! Really fun, challenging but not at all impossible (I might have expected a medium rather than a hard badge). I can't wait for more. My only complaint is that as soon as you power 5 computers at the end, it's not easy to go back and see the 6th puzzle at the end!
niekjehoofd, I had the same bug. I played over again (much quicker the second time around!) and it was fine the second time. I advise saving after each tape just in case you run into a bug like this.
Wow. This really notched up the stakes for point-and-click games a bit - good story (that added to gameplay rather than detracted from it), suspenseful, right level of challenge. I agree with some others that the codes felt a bit random and out of place, though. It was hard to find the "cable end" to put the transformer on, even though I guessed that was the gist of what I wanted to do, and I had a lot of trouble finding the gravity code (upside down U, upside down 4, upside down L for others who are stuck). I did like the having to figure out the "on" and "off" codes, though that was definitely tricky.
Perfect level of difficulty - a bit challenging but not so impossible you need a walkthrough. Fun game! (though watch out dudes for Belial standing on top of the cord so you have to time picking it up right... also what was with the book?)
Usually I am tempted by walkthroughs. But this game was so enjoyably challenging that I wanted to get all 100 stars on my own (also, a walkthrough didn't feel right for the hard badge!) I had to walk away and come back later with a fresh brain for a few levels. Level 99 stumped me the longest!
Kind of a cute game, but just too buggy. Thought the broken final gun (which I didn't see in the comments is broken until after I couldn't figure out why shooting wasn't working...) was very frustrating.
I kind of wish this game just went on forever. Just like the other Fancy Pants Adventures, the movement is so beautiful! You just want to jump and twirl and run around all day, forget about killing pirates and ninjas... I really wish I could rate higher than 5 stars, just for this game.
Really enjoyed this game. It took me a long time to finish for a medium badge!! But it's great for someone who likes to explore - I particularly enjoyed the change in weather/style as you enter different parts of the world. Solid, enjoyable platform game.
I got a little worried seeing all the comments about being taken off-site, but that's really not necessary. You can complete the game within Kongregate just fine! And then at the end check out the website to see how it assesses your life philosophy. Fun and entertaining - both for the platformer, the puzzles, and the philosophical questions.
Definitely a good game, but a forced small tutorial at the beginning definitely would have been nice. The main thing would have been me missing the menu that allows you to save and load games - which would have saved me a lot of frustration in difficult battles. When the choice was starting over or giving up the game, I chose giving up. If I could have reloaded from 5 minutes earlier in gameplay, however... ! (On that note, an autosave feature would also work well.)
If you think you're stuck, check if you actually are. Often when it seems like you're stuck, you can either suicide on nearby spikes, or shift out and go backwards to where you came from.
I had also tried HekiShavik's suggestion and it did seem to help - shorter elevator shafts don't leave people angry because they're not waiting for the elevator to come all the way up and then go back all the way down. But it does seem to me to be a design flaw. In real life, if there are two elevators next to each other, and one comes down to the bottom, people will get in that one, not just KEEP WAITING AT THE OTHER ONE FOREVER. Definitely needs to allow for some better elevator algorithms.
Really enjoyed this game. Creative, funny, requires some further thought and outside-the-box thinking compared to most platformers. I want more levels!! That's the sign of a good game.
I feel kinda meh about this game. I like the concept, but gameplay just kind of feels a little tedious? I kept playing long after I got bored because I wanted to see what happened on the date, but kind of regretted it. 3 stars.
I did really enjoy this game for making you feel so attached to zombies (yes, I'm one of those people who hoped at the beginning that maybe they'd be "cured" when they reached 100% Humanity!!) But I can only give the game 4 stars because the ending was rather disappointing. It seemed like there should be SOMETHING - the discovery of a cure, or really anything, even an outbreak that kills the narrator - upon completion of research. The last official entry just seems to beg for you to finish the research so something can happen, so when nothing does, it's rather disappointing.
