I would mark this game as "upgrades" first since you cannot really affect the battles much aside casting soul skills(global spell).The heroes choose skill they use themselves and you can only target - if you dont its on auto.
That said it has plethora of classes which remind of D&D, crafting of weapon,armor and mechanical tower defenders.
As for multiplayer it is the usual pay2win. Basically those that pay money will steamroll you because they have more stars on here,more skills,better classes and equipment.
