at high resource amount trading (quadrilllion, or 1e15 and higher) it becomes very annoying to use the market place since it will usually end up at max amount rather then intended amount. please allow for use of scientific notation by typing or change it to use numbers only, as it is right now it's just annoying.
suggestion: let mines (metal and stone) occasionally find gems. these gems can be combined to create either 1 time buffs (for the current colony) and rarely you could find one that fits in a combo that has permanent (lasting throughout all colonies) effect. all gems should be used in atleast 2 recipes. this could even be combined with a specific god. also, gems should stay with you if you colonize but did not use them.
8: start producing metal. get 1 tier 1 metal building then wait for tier 2. get 10-20 of tier 2 before first tier 3.
9: coin production can wait till you have enough metal production, since you need atleast 4-5 smelters to get 1 wages level (with 250 citizens used).
10: religion, i usually get ASAP. personally i go for markeeth and focus on metal production. in just a few hours you can get to 10-20k civilization points by using the faith powers. 365 faith/s is enough to get max speed on powers recharge, which is all you need (faith i find useless otherwise)
.
at this point you should quickly be able to get into the trillions/quadrillions of production. colonize at ~1500 civ points first time, after that at 15k or higher. first upgrade to get is the marketplace, game will take a long time before it.
how to build your colony quickly:
1: get 300 food and wood, get use both hands.
2: get 10k food/wood get helping hand
3: get enough resources and build 1 tier 1 building and 1 tier 2 building of wood and stone production
4: get 50k wood and stone, build 1 tier 3 wood production
5: get 25k stone while wood produces to 75, build 1 tier 3 stone production. also get 1st tier of production research upgrades.
6: alternate between upgrading tier 3 forest and stone until 150k production each.
7: disable citizen production (top left) and buy 1 hut. then get 30 houses.(less cost per citizen)
then get enough huts to get 250 max pop. get a few tier 3 food production buildings (4 or 5 usually) and then enable citizen production.
off-line resources doesn't work, I thought it may have been an option later but after unlocking everything it's not there. every time i check back in, the resources screen says 100% gained, yet every amount is blank and nothing is added.
the biggest lag seems to come from ricochet+multishot on stuff. once it goes above +4-5 multi with 2 or more ricochet, the game starts having lag issues. go higher and it quickly becomes worse, especially if you are fighting enemies with visual attakcs (like beholder spawners on deep levels).
private games are bugged, they end after each level (aka you get thrown to homescreen). imo, protected items (with gems) should be saved for much longer then 24 hours to justify the cost. 1 week would seem alot more fair.
Thanks for the bug report. I see where this happened to you in the server log and have identified the cause (not sure if it's the same as your other crash). I will add a fix in the next release, hopefully this week.
resource exchange is nice, but since i need 37.088.100 gold and half that in W/S/I for my next house it's not that usefull when trading 1k at a time. i'd need 1m exchanges, and soon enough that will be higher, same goes for those that are at an even further point. 1k, 5k, 50k, 500k, 5m, 50m etc. options would be nice.
I will be adding input windows so you can type in how much you want to buy or sell...the buttons were more place holders last night, since I had to go to bed for work. Thanks for the feedback.
The production display was not reading correctly before, it was showing the production with the speed calculated in to it. in the latest minipatch, I fixed it so it is only showing your production per tick, instead of your production per tick + the speed bonus.
the trick to your army is to only bring as many army strength into battle as you use. i use only 100 soldiers on 3.0 difficulty, but i have 1,5m army str/minute being gained by the army left home. i could fight all day long and not run out of army strength
hmm, i keep getting a negative food supply every once in a while, probably because i produce too much and the game can't translate the number. when it happens, i get kicked out of the game and happiness goes down by 5. current farmers: 25.667.534 (it happens more and more often the more farmers i get)
It's in there now, fixed :)
