I loaded your game, I didnt have that problem, I am on chrome. If you still have the problem please let me know your browser. Also nice items, I recommend enchanting them more ( enchanting makes items x2 stronger for +1)
I might do that, but its a bit dangerous in a way, because you can loose items. But was already thinking of changing this. Will probably do that soon its an easy fix
First go to menu with right click or esc, then go to equip, then the hero you want to equip then the slot you would like to equip, and select your sword.
You can place down harvested potatoes if you have an empty spot and harvest other ones if they are ready. Now if they still need to grow and you don't want to hack them away, yeah, you might need to wait for them xD

The only way of you losing the save is if you cleared your browser, which is why you should export your save when needed.
