Good game, but really imbalanced. The Ninjas are the only enemies who are a threat. And a impossible threat too. If a level has a Ninja-Boss, it is impossible to get a "Brilliant" rating, because even if you hit the boss instantly upon entering the gamefield, he goes straight camo and is able to reach the gems, without you being able to hit him. He dies of course as soon as he is visible again, but since he already touched a gem, you wont get a "brilliant". But due lack of any story and only 15 levels, i gave it a 4/5. GemCraft is still the best.
Sadly, this all doesn't matter. Because no one will read this comment because of the stupid new Comment-Rating. :(
Great game! BUT like like most of the comments here state, the kreds are totally ruining it. So now you can buy cheats and it won't even count for the badges if you use them? This is the most unfair thing I ever saw on this site? What is next? That you can directly buy the badges without playing the game? I am deeply disappointed in Kongregate.
This game sucks! There ist one thing about games, wich I really hate: Luck! This game is entirely based on luck. No tactics, no skills - just luck. It ist possible to finish a level with the same tactic, which got you killed before several times. Simply because the guards walking randomly. One time the target person itself walked right into my hiding place and died. Stupid and frustrating. 2/5
A very basic TD game, but good anyway. If only the the non-basic towers were good for anything...you'll be able to beat this game without them, so dont'waste your upgrade points on them. Things I miss are towers with splash damage and a range upgrade for all towers. You could beat the game without them anyway, but those things are simply standard in this genre. 3/5
This game could be fun, if it wasn't that buggy and imbalanced. Some enemies won't even fire at you, while the next of the same type kills you instantly. The controls are gruesome at least. You have to choose between keyboard control, wich is complicated, 'cause you have to control the wasd-keys and all number-keys without being able to look at them. If you choose mouse-control, you reach the number-keys but are not able to fire at enemies which are behind you. 2/5
Gosh, this game is soooo boring. Just "maze" your your position with fake walls, that only one zombie at a time could reach you. Than all you have to do is to fix your fire-key, and you can go outside. When you come back, you will be level 60 or something. I really can't understand, that this should be one of the best games of 2007. 2/5 only because zombies and shooting is involved.
Those were the times...when medium badges were already so hard, that you get frustrated and thinking that you maybe to stupid for that game. I fail already at the "easy" marathon, even when I use guides and walkthroughs. That's what I call a challenge. Great game though.
I like the concept and the message behind it, but this ist not a game at all. You only have to press left or right. Mostly right. Should have been a clip on youtube, but no "game" at Kongregate.
Well, this is a goof example of how NOT to make game. While the idea is good and the allusions to kongregate are quite funny (you can get fancypants pants or sonny's armor) the rest ist lacking of almost anything. There are no descriptions how to level your attributes like strenght or constitution. Since they are requirements for special abilities, it would be quiet useful. Almost everything you have to figure out by yourselve. That would be ok, if the game wasn't such boring and repetive. Most of the time you'll be resting (5-6 weeks after completing a dungeon or losing a fight). The fights consisting of clicking on the "autobattle"-button and wait for the end. There's no much tactics on how to influence the outcome of the battle. If you are lucky, you win, if not you lose. That's it! The badges are easy to earn, but if you don't earn them in the first try, the game sucks to bad to go for it again. 2/5
Boring game. The story is lame, the fights are way to easy, the game ist far too short after all and the voice of that child ist really annoying. Got the badge in less than a half hour... 2/5
Well, that's my kind of game. Uncomplicated shooting-action spiced up with some RPG-elements. Story is not very original, but who cares? The only complaint (yet) is the confusing bonus-system. What do I have to do, to earn the bronze, silver or gold star? That should be somewhere defined (or do I miss something?) 4/5
I really hate those "buy premium or you will stand no chance against players who were stupid enough to do so" games. Destroys the balance and the fun in this game. What is happening to Kongregate lately? Used to be great platform for FREE an independent programmers. Now they are adding more and more of this commercial stuff.
I don't understand the complaining about the controls. The are excellent...for a game that is obviously are homage to the old Amiga or C64 Arcade games. Even the sounds are reminding me of are few great (if not the greatest) games of that period (hey, isn't that "found a trinket" sound the same as from "Turrican" if you finished a level? ;)) But for a gaming veteran like me far to easy and for 15$ far to expensive. Even for a great homage.
Congratulations! You just won the I Won! I Won! At Pirate Defense Badge and 30 points!
Wow, this game is freaking incredible! I had so much fun and the celebration song is awesome. If you played Desktop TowerDefense before: Don't even think about it! This game works different. You have to use trap combinations to win.
Jo Ho, I kept the hill from the lot of my foes :D 5/5
R-Type was a great game, and this one kind of remembers me. But this game is unfinished yet. There is only one level, the enemies (even the boss) don't fire at you, and after you defeated the boss, the game just went on, without anymore enemies. You just fly on and on. Please finish programming this game quickly, it has potential!
