Strongly disliking the 'miss' in the arena now, enemies I could anti-idle farm with ease are extremely hard. When you miss you don't knockback, you see.
Too simple, really. I just stood near where they spawn, 1-3 clicks (until I got bored and gave up on wave 21) and they'd be dead. Dunno if the inability to shoot when getting ammo s intentional but I seem to be the only person here who likes it like that. But yeah, easy and dull.
Just a lil niggle, if you pause it in arena mode in order to keep your combo (though I know combo skills aren't working at the moment) it returns you to the main screen, not the arena. Liking how the arena's running faster though!
I'd hardly call this a flash version of Tyrian. The only things in common are graphics and genre. No multiple main weapons, no obstacles and Tyrian didn't have shockwaves, omni directional weapons (or was the multi-cannon?) and this particular upgrade system. Comparisons aside, a pretty good game, liked it, although fairly easy so the game is a bit too short.
No collision detection or anything. A slightly novel idea, if you added collision detection and levels with guns in different places, multiple guns or different types, this could be ok. As it is, it's far too basic, and you rely on the user to judge hits and misses for themselves.
Well, I take it back. I had my first go with the spark and it missed due to fog. Then it got zapped by lightning and never got to attack or devour again. You see the point though, the random aspect of Mutation is very fun.
My favourite thing about this is the random mutations card. every battle is different in some way with it, and sometimes the creatures that result just make you think 'damn, if I wasn't already winning this fight I SOOOO would be now!'. I just got a 6/4 spark with a devour ability, and I even said out loud 'god that is awesome'. Bit of an improvement from a skill-less 1/1 skeleton.
Very poor. The power differences between levels (and islands and certain quests too) is far too large, far too much grinding is required. Inadequate explanation is given as to what things do, options are available on menus before you can use them (keep it a surprise, plus it lets people know when they can use new things) and worst of all, the weapon upgrades were purely cosmetic and made no difference whatsoever. the only plus side is you disabled 'ultimate' for some of the important battles. Oh, thats another thing, the first enemy gives 3 upgrade points and next to no xp. When an enemy with the ability to dish out 25000 damage a hit, 500,000 health but looks identical to the first enemy gives the same exp and 'upgrage' points, you feel immensely cheated.
Ironically, I only found this due to someone stealing the game and trying to deprive the author of the fruits of their efforts :) Love the game to be honest, and just received a larg amount of joy from beating a level 19 bronto rider with a level 2 panzer.
Liked it, until firefox froze for 5 minutes any time I tried entering the tower or returning to it from a battle. I added 4000 MB of virtual memory and lowered the quality, it still does it.
Played all the way through, not bad at all. My weapon of choice was the auto shotgun, it has some awesome crowd control. Liked the bosses, pity there wasn't a level with more than one of them though, or no way to get them in experiment mode once you've finished the game.
Full of immature idios who ruin it for everyone else by insulting people, drawing penises and so forth. Also, people just write the word out rather than drawing. It needs to be regulated in some way.
