I find it disturbing that these armed and armoured guards don't even try to shoot at you, even after you make your intentions to kill them perfectly clear. Also, I question their positioning skills. Standing guard in a closed room with no doors, under a glass vessel full of acid, hmmm...
I am still enjoying the game, so - thumbs up. I gave 4 stars. But it will be really nice if the element of stealth was stronger - for instance you have to kill them all in a sequence and if you fail you make your position known and they shoot you instantly. This is where the ricochet gun would be really useful.
I could live with the naive graphics and the story/plot is catchy, but what puts me off is that there is nothing that you can actually decide. (Apart from killing yourself by taking all the pills). No thinking is left to the gamer to try and find out how to progress and the only challenging element is catching coconuts while avoiding spiders and that gets annoying after a couple of games. Please don't take this as an offence, I only mean it to be constructive criticism. I would gladly play week 3, so I am giving you 4 stars in order not to spoil the average :)
I don't take any offense at all, you're 100% right! You're not the first person to suggest more options / paths, and I think it's a great idea! I'll be doing my best to make Week Three, and the following weeks, as "free roaming" as possible. Also, thank you for enjoying the story, rating it up, and leaving a great comment! Hopefully I can make the series more of a challenge.
I found a way to get myself stuck. On area 7 there is a hole right after a long line of floor spikes (on the screen before the second checkpoint I think). When you fall into it you find a rocket barrel on the bottom and some bricks that can be destroyed on the left, just at the height you can't jump to. I crashed the rocket several times to destroy the first few and then managed to pick up the rocket, then throw it at the right wall, where it bounced and went in the corridor on the left. So there I am, on the bottom of the hole and the rocket is not respawning :(
