True Boss Fights these. Bosses have abilities and mechanics that suit them, and are interesting from a gameplay perspective as well. And what's more, harder modes don't feel like obligatory bonus content, but more challenging and rewarding and worthwhile. Well done!
Every time I tried to build a Boomerang Hut the connection failed on me. Somehow the game remembered that I spent the money, but not what I spent it on, so now I'm down $800 without anything to show for it.
Nice game, albeit a bit easy. The challenge, for me, was solely in being quick enough with respect to the flowers and cacti. Solving of most of the puzzles was so straightforward it could get boring.
The combat AI is still stupid, even when you can play a bit with it at lvl9. Why, for instance, does my unit choose to walk away from the battle when he could've actually attacked?
@justinian about badges:
They are indeed semi-arbitrary feel-good bonuses, but isn't that what games are all about? I mean, you play games for fun, and if some sort of meta-system adds to that, then why not?
Also, good games deserve the recognition they get from badges. I know, having alot of people play and rate the game is also recognition, but it's just a discrepancy that less popular games do have badges and this one doesn't.
@anOutCast (and @wraith1212) I seem to have noticed more blizz references.. Can't remember em tho..
But, in reality, I made this comment to ask for BADGES!!
One thing I find annoying about this game though.. The freezing and mindcontrolling of towers - where you have to repeatedly click them to make em work again. When you misclick a tower right next to it, the ring with upgrades pops out, and you frantically keep clicking, but to no avail. Worse yet, I don't wanna know the amount of gold I spent on better nets for barbarians when I knew there would be no more flyers coming..
There should be an extra badge for this game: win Impossible mode (perhaps on a huge town as well? No idea how that affects difficulty.) without using any characters from a previous game.
I'm at lvl16 now (shaman) and the dot portion of flame shock is too low. 80ish instant damage and then 10 for each turn? That makes casting flame shock over lightning bolt hardly worth the mana.
I hope you did not bore. Thanks for the feedback
