As some of you have noticed the game was inspired by the game 3d-logic http://www.kongregate.com/games/AlexMatveev/3d-logic. I have received good feedback and will publish an update shortly.
The music is creative commons, so you can in fact download it legally. The songs used in the game is "Sadness and Sorrow v2" for the main theme, and "Found Memory" for the end screen. The music can be found here, under the category 2008 http://blazingdragon.newgrounds.com/
Leaderboard with clue combination worked great, I can see a range of interesting games working like that. In general I liked the game, but as said before there were a few frustrating things, that could have been easily avoided.
For me it was illogical to use finger print tape to collect blood samples. 3 moves to collect prints: Dusting, brushing, sampling seemed unessesary. Instead, I would have just had a brush one click to collect finger prints and then a seperate too for blood samles.
Also near the end when I combined the room number with the hotel address I was sure that I would be able to go their, but was not allowed to before I combared the blood samples.
Really liked the idea, I would suggest that you make another game with the leaderboard. :)
