I beat it...yes! All I can say is to reach 6000 feet...get all the upgrades...(the 3rd rocket is very important). Ok so you will take off then use the rocket...only use about 1/6th of it....as soon as your speed goes under about...100 mph...use other 1/6th...keep doing this and eventually you should make it. Avoid bouncing of the water cause it slows you down severely...hope this helps!
