Currently at the normal games the opponent has 24 hours to reply. If not reply in that time you will automaticly win. If you face a opponent who is not playing you can start a new extra game against another player. You can also block the player in case you really don't want to face the player again because of slow play.
Tournaments (unlocked at level 5) are fast play with a countdown of 60 seconds.
