What do you get when you combine frustrating mechanics, too many levels and lazy artificial game lengtheners in the form of repeating the same levels with 1 minor change? This game.
"Unable to load game" Tested on Firefox, Chrome, Edge (old and new) and Internet Explorer so far. If anyone has had any luck on other browsers, let me know
Tried the game on Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Internet Explorer and most enemies are invisible save for the one in the first level and mines (maybe others as well). Additionally, on Chrome (and likely on the rest) if something is destroyed by the mines (you or an ally) the game crashes. I'm not sure if the game can even be completed anymore let alone with a time limit so Rock Mobster may actually be impossible and even if not, Speed Demon is likely very close
The easiest and possibly only way to get the BOTD or any of the badges for this game at this point is to use a second computer (it can be your own or a friends) and play Capture the Flag in Arena. Just keep grinding out kills and captures and after way too long you'll eventually be at level 5. Also note that the game seems to kick a player who goes AFK for too long so just make a random input on the second computer and if both computers are on the same network you need a VPN on one of them because the game detects your IP address.
If anyone is having issues with the controls, they seem to work properly on Chrome. Firefox was completely unresponsive for me and Edge was bugged where they would not work or get stuck often so if you're having those issues, use Chrome.
Maybe it's because I had already earned the badge but collecting the blocks and extra points worked for me, it's a lot more delayed than usual. Rather than awarding almost immediately it takes 20-30 seconds. I don't know if waiting would help for anyone who hasn't previously earned the badge though
I found an easy way to grind for money. On the last round, all players have gotten their balls into the hole, pause and go back to the menu. The game has already given you your winnings for the tournament and for the hole itself but hasn't saved the hole finishing so you can keep replaying the hole instead of going through the entire tournament. If you're in first then it's a fairly quick and easy $1,000+.
@fakezero It's a math problem. The one I got was Horses and 3-legged cows, 91 heads and 347 legs. First make 2 different equations (H+C=91, 4H+3C=347). Next, get a variable by itself in the second equation (subtract 3C from both sides, 4H=347-3C then divide both sides by 4, H=(347-3C)/4). Substitute this for H in the first equation ((347-3C)/4+C=91)) multiply everything by 4 (347-3C+4C=364), add the C's together (347+C=364) subtract 347 from both sides to get the variable (C=17). Solve the first equation with the new C value (H+17=91, H=74). The answer is whichever animal they ask for.
Easy method for the medium badge: In the very first level, after killing the first 3 guys, there is a small hallway which opens up to a boiler(?) you have to jump onto. If you just stand there without jumping, the enemies will jump on top of you without shooting basically asking you to beat them to death with the pipe. Just get the 88 kills needed and leave.
Some people are saying they were having server issues. I was as well but I figured out the issue on my end so maybe it will help others. If you are making a new account and hit "Link the accounts" on the first screen, it will log you in but won't properly connect to the server and won't save data. Instead, hit "New Account" and link the accounts from there to log in and save properly.
Not that it matters at this point but for anyone wondering the game doesn't work on Internet Explorer either (I assume Safari is the same). Even with Unity Web Player, you just end up with a different error screen saying "Failed to update Unity Web Player".
This game requires grinding to progress...but you can't replay levels you've beaten. So basically, you have to replay a level you can't beat repeatedly until you slowly gain enough money/artifacts to beat it. And you have to do this multiple times. And you can't speed up the walking or combat. And this everyone, is how you shouldn't extend the play time of a game.
Oh good, another energy based P2W game with this exact same card playing system. I wonder if the medium badge will take days of grinding with minimal actual effort to achieve and will have little satisfaction in getting.
Small guide: Everything kills you and in later levels it happens fast. Blades are single use and kill Seekers and Clusters (the energy) but Seekers take 3 hits or upgraded blades. Armor protects against Clusters without destroying them and upgrading increases the number of hits each can take. Armor is the best upgrade, max it first. You get 3 upgrade points per level except the first where you get 6. You can get the hard badge by taking no damage for the first 5 levels. However, what I assume is a glitch (I think it has something to do with power-ups spawning) will cause your Max Tail multiplier (top left number) to desync from your standard one (number that pops up on screen) so it may take longer depending on bad luck.
Lag can help a fair bit in getting the hard badge but it’s still very luck based, especially with how often the sanity gauge outpaces the pill spawn rate leaving you reliant on the death dice to spawn pills. And the hitboxes have been mentioned a fair bit already. The hard badge won’t take too long as a single game but with how often you die to factors beyond your control, it adds up. Luckily, you still gain points after dying so if you’re close and get cornered, jump to extend the amount of time before the game ends, that’s how I managed to get it at least.
For the impossible badge, lag is your friend. If the game lags with a consistent frame rate (so it slows the game down without skipping frames) then this is one of the easier impossible badges on the site as it lets you make difficult jumps and maneuvers with relative ease. It's still not easy but it's much more manageable.
Advice for those who just want the badges, just focus on Silver Rewards Member. The Easy comes naturally because you can't achieve a silver customer before day 10 and just buying the cheapest upgrades (start with the customer bell) will get that with minimal effort. After that it's random luck that the same person shows up 10 times in a row (I got mine on day 12). The hardest part is actually wanting to play this game enough to get the badges so good luck.
Just so everyone is aware, the game is fairly punishing as far as upgrades and death goes and if played wrong (follow the guide ninjazz posted for help) then you can easily and permanently ruin the save file. It's a standard of Nerdook games that you cannot go back and death doesn't reward you and this game is no different so be aware of this.
