Not sure I like the controls - its a bit picky if you're playing on a track-pad getting it to go. I'm also not convinced its 'obvious' that you have to click, then drag slightly.
Who would lock monsters in seemingly airtight safes? No wonder they are waving their arms like mad when you get the door open. Sheesh there are some sicko's in the world.
Im not sure about checkpoints - that kinda ruins the educational side of "you have togetthrough a mission or you're dead" sort of thing; but it does need a pause button."
So my highest combo is 45 - I *think* there are 40 mobs on a level at once, so you kinda have to be so big to get the lot, and a couple of respawns. Unfortunatly, my score got stuck at 65 million... but kept on playing cause its so much fun!
The author is so right - it *does* get silly, when your worm is so big it just eats everything on the screen when it leaps into the air. And thats what makes it so fun. When will these humans learn! don't *kill* the worm but Run! RUN my pretties RUN mwhah haha hahahahaha
The problem with the Hard achivement is that you can be going well, then because of the randomness, you can suddenly get a level where you can have two or three massive groups that just wipe the level and make it impossible to not get egg-kills.
So'kay - I think theres supposed to be a screen change flow when you finish a level, but it just cuts to black with small dot - and then we're in the next scene - perhaps smoothing out the level change and look of levels might improve playability as well.
The numbers should be more regulated - how come they only go up and not down when they are defeated? Why is USA so high on the scores? I do like the idea of player support increasing value, but it should perhaps be logarithmic. Also, if the game is football related, why is the team score not based upon the teams performance in real life rather changing randomly (i.e. some of the best teams have quite low card scores (France, world cup winners being much lower then other non-winners). The number of Americans who play this game supporting their own team produces too much bias.
Its not completely clear how close you can get to the "spikes" before they hurt - I didnt seem to be touching but the green bar was dropping. Also having an idea what the two bars (green and blue) mean would be good - a background or border around them to see clearly might solve that.
This has probably one of the most emotionally sad side story ive ever met, it has brought a tear to my eye as I sit here, on my break from programming daemons, on my own, with nobody to talk to. What will happen to my little children once I'm gone?... I'm going to go out now and find someone to talk to in real life.
