Nice idea, but I think there's something ropey going on with the controls. Feels like it's only polled at a given instant, rather than accumulating inputs over the frame then calculating movements on that at the point they're interpreted
@sotanaht I used a variant of that strategy; instead of avoiding lapping the tail, I made sure I predominantly moved *downwards* rather than *up*, using the wraparound of the screen. Same principle as yours - I think the times I died were when I snuck in an up to get one last pill - but I think perhaps a little quicker to get to the pills because it's not until quite late on that you need to do so very tightly in order to survive.
