I went through the first four levels and was completely hooked, but when I got to the fifth I was blown away, the 2d plat-former take on the 3d game was just as good, reminded me of sonic! The full 3d version captures the attention, but it is small tweaks like these that will make the full game amazing.
I would love to see your HP regenerate after chapters. I was nearly screwed on hard mode when I left Simon and Angela's health both at around 16. The game play however was terrific, though I couldn't see it being much of a challenge at all if you're not on hard mode.
The only thing I could possibly suggest is an "I'm colorblind" option to change the colors of paints you're having a hard time seeing. I don't think that the colors ever really matter all that much as long as they are constant.
This game was very fun, and I played it through to the end and then a couple more times to get as many of the achievements as I could! A couple things I noticed however, was that once on the cake difficulty, the level where you meet your friend, I spawned with a "ghost" about 2 inches below me in the game, I controlled both my movements, and the ghost's movements.
One other suggestion is that on level where you have to touch all the locks, make them change color, or at least change it a bit for dramatically, I couldn't see any change (it may be due to my colorblindness though).
All in all, the game play was superb, each level clearly an evolution from your first game (which I enjoyed very much). The story put it above others of similar ingenuity, and in my mind it is one of the better games on kongregate. 5/5
This game was very fun and challenging. The trick was to focus on the things you knew would be true. If the puzzle had a floor I would put all those pieces on the bottom. If it had a ceiling/ sky all on the top. For the last one, I started out with The assassin advertisement, trying places where the "A" would fit correctly with the "ssassin". From there I could just build around it.
One of the most challenging, but solvable in a long time. First one I haven't had to use a walk through on that still hurt my brain! 5/5
I noticed one important bug, when you are watching a drawing of a user-created avatar, but then choose another user-created avatar, both continue to draw at the same time.
People have been posting about how they've gotten full strength, def and reproduction. I have tried to mimic that, but I can only get full of 2 of the there, and then I am left with one at almost max (missing 1).
I have tried a bunch of combinations, but this is my current one:
leeB lovE repN
irnC powR
booM
incR strH
desT defE
walL mage
lazY
tanK yell
Even after you die you can still use a potion to survive in survival mode. Survival mode is also not impossible, I think it is well balanced, although obviously luck.
You've outdone yourself with this game, amazing concept, however it seems that even though I am colorblind, I am able to see the "cheat". However, despite that, the gameplay was fantastic and innovative, and I enjoyed the boss challenge on the third level, where you were left wondering how you would be able to pass the level given such a hard choice. once again, amazing. 4/5 though, 5/5 if it had an online multiplayer.
Every time I finally think I've finished a level and am just finishing the last path, I find that I have none left! How many damn levels will have multiple solutions 1 path away!?!?
Great game though 4/5 (One of my favorite colorblind-friendly games!)
I think that there should be an option to toggle speeds along with the "Hold" option. My pinky gets a bit tired around 4000 points. Addicting game though... Nice job.
I have realized that for the next game. In this new one, the standard speed will be the current fastest speed since I realized most of us would play it like that. Sorry about your pinky :(
UPDATE: Now the previous fastest speed is the normal speed. Hope your pinky has healed :).
Wow, dunno how I missed your comment... I hope a lot of your concerns have been taken care of over this month.
