Yes I know the game has issues, as time goes in it's getting harder to support as it's been hacked several times. I am working on Beat Me Up 3 though.... stay tuned :)
The levels should now work again! There was a bug in the server that I totally missed a while ago that was messing up downloading other people's levels.
You have to purchase the full version to build levels. I did it this way because it costs me money to host the levels and have it where everyone can share/rate their levels.
You get a complete game for free, the upgrade for $10 is just for people who want more. Unlike the vast majority of flash games, this game offers the ability for people to make levels and share them with each other. Those levels that people make are stored on my server and cost me money to host, I think that is fair for people to share a bit in that cost if they are wanting to make levels that eat up significant space and bandwidth on my server. It's not like you have to pay before playing anything at all like console games; there is the free version which doesn't eat up a bunch of my server and then there is the paid version which does. That's a totally fair deal imho.
Console games run at least $30 - $50; even XBox Live Arcade games are at least $10 if not more. Considering I spent 6 months full time working on this, $10 is a fair price for the full version.
I've posted a new version of the game. It now has options to change the ragdoll size and to enable dramatic zooming, just click on Options when the game starts :)
I made the game. AddictingGames offered me a sponsorship deal for a special version for their site that didn't have the ability to play other levels. You can see that the link from AddictingGames back to the author's website and the link back here are the same site.
Sorry everyone, there was a bug in the server where you couldn't save your level (I mistakely changed the level files to read only). It should be fixed now!
To go to other people's levels in this game click on the Menu and just click on any name in there. Does this work for you Donniek? The first game is a little messed up; someone hacked my server a while back through that game and messed up a bunch of levels. I wasn't able to recover them... that's why people aren't able to go to some of the levels in the original game.
sorry gorodetzky, I had to remove your score on DCGIL's level. It was 10,000 as much as the 2nd highest score; I'm pretty sure it was from an exploit in the game which I just fixed.
