So in some idles it might make sense when you convert so many of one thing into another. But how am i losing one hundred people when i hire a supervisor? and so on and so forth with the other.

Just some food for thought while tweak this or abandon it, Where do those mechanics go? do their souls get put into the supervisor or does the shop head come out at say "We have a new supervisor, everyone if fired. Now go hire us new ones"

You lose gas whether you are pushing the peddle or not, as long as you move forward you lose gas. Even if all the zombies get shot you still have your engine destroyed in the same place either way.
