Green transmissions stop working period after a while, usually about the fifth or sixth one. And no, I'm not talking about the adblock issue - I mean the mission pops up, but there's no popup ad when you click it and accept. It just goes straight back to the game, and you miss out on the loot. In addition to all the other issues, this pretty well cripples anyone who doesn't reload every ten minutes or so.
About 80 levels longer than it needs to be. Also, it appears that weapon upgrade paths are at least partially randomized, because in two separate playthroughs up to maxed equipment levels, I've noticed lasers in particular vary at around the level 10-13 point; sometimes they jump back to 1.5 speed at 10, sometimes at 12, and I'm pretty sure I saw one at 9, a couple resets back.
Overall solid game, but waaaaaaay too grind heavy early on, and way too long at the tail end. 3/5.
If you make it to him without already having maxed everything, Bear is an excellent boss to farm for coins. Between 3000 and 3500 on average, and probably more if you don't actually try to beat him.
The firing delay on most of the weapons in conjunction with the severe input lag makes this game almost completely unplayable. Forcing us to hold a fire key (thereby requiring a constant input stream, thereby creating lag) is ridiculous when an autofire ability would be so simple to implement. I award you no stars, and may your deity of choice have mercy on this game.
An overall time constraint on multiple puzzles makes me rather unlikely to finish this one, owing to arthritis and such. Shame, because it's otherwise a nice game.
To those having the 2 star on level 10 problem: I had this too. What I had to do was stop replaying the stage when I had a 3 star score - it seems the map doesn't update until you leave the stage, and it uses the last battle result to do so.
The best way I've found thus far to farm gold early is this: Bull rush your way to level 5. Upgrade coins and nothing else, then replay 5 (without advancing to 6) over and over and over until you've maxed coins out. Then start saving - do this however much you want, really, because at this point you should be getting around 1000 per replay of level 5.
It would be nice if the party moved just a little bit faster - catching all the enemies in any given level is a bit frustrating when they're moving about four times the speed of the heroes' party.
The upgraded shotgun may not have the best damage, but it has the absolute best spread of any weapon in the game, which makes it ideal for the boss. Especially the parts where it spews hordes of fodder. Might be a good idea for the boss battle to let it spawn 'released prisoners' that the player can pick up to replenish their squad.
The hard badge on this game may be literally impossible on some systems, because of a combination of lag and extremely poor game design (issues which have been solved to some extent in later versions of the game). Extremely bad taste, Kong.
Making the power pots unlimited at the end of the game is a nice touch, but it would be really nice if we could also max out the runes. All that aside, great game, and I look forward to a sequel.
I will try my best to implement it, but i honestly would rather save it for a possible sequel. thanks fro playing the game!
