Came back to replay without remembering too much of the story. Still, I recalled a sense of wistfulness and peace, and I was not let down. Thank you for a fabulous minigame. It is an inspiration for me to think about how I might tell stories, too.
Came back to play this as I remember it fondly, but I think the newer Ruffle integration makes some of the dialogue/parts to read get cut off :( hoping this will get fixed eventually, or maybe I will try switching browsers.
This took me several days to play, but I was invested every step of the way! Fun, plotty, and I did mentally go "YEAAAAAA BOIIIIII" when the the lil hearts came out of Corvus and Maoti...I had a thought way in the beginning like "wouldn't it be cool if.." and then I thought, nah, that wouldn't happen and then it DID. what both couples say to each other is SO romantic I too was like [sends out hearts]. I liked the gameplay, and how you could always 'restart' with the sleep/return wand.
I was so sad for Michiko when she died :( and also like... everyone being okay with peace when the Pyreans were clearly the aggressor to the Jens and burning everything....idk. But it was also resolved in a very "divine" feeling way. Enjoyed this game and your series a lot!
Hey, thanks a lot! The peace was forged through love. Remember, the eldest sage Kagameo told Maoti: "It is the nature of our people. We grow fond of others quickly and we have easy access to love. This capacity for love will be very important when we need to form companionship with the other nations." not gonna lie, im having a hard time with the last ending [betrayal] not because it's hard, but because it hurts!! wish i left the clan coalition or greater good one for last...
loved the humor and child-like quality of the adventure, and how sweet it was - i was honestly a little moved by how raven's eventual future was described. and clicking around seeing the descriptions was so fun :)
played this again after a few years, and after finding the new 'sequel/prequel' was released! lovely. the only thing i wish was that i could review the information more afterwards :) also i accidentally got on zephyr before i asked the wiseman any more questions, oops.....
