the game speed is killing me, even after animation speed is put on max. Those notifications take half of my game time. It makes the game around three stars instead of four and a quarter for me.
This game has the dual enjoyments of design and action. My problem is that falling back gives an insanely strong advantage. Units like the death monk and Longbow archers can kill advancing units quickly without being in any real danger because the general respawns with no recruitment point loss immediately. The death monks especially are dangerous - they can spawn dozens of skeletons that serve as a protective wall. I would like to see one of these things happen - slow general's spawn rate\ charge a recruitment point when the general dies, cap skeletons per monster, lower death monk damage, or introduce a unit that can get behind an enemy's front line.
the game is fun, but i've just taken a double size guy to fight a dragon and there is a tower that seems to be some kind of sick joke on the players. I'm 3/4 through and i'm thinking about resetting.
