Won war in 65 battles, but honestly I could have gone faster than that. Just do what Tsugaroo says and leveling up will be a breeze. I did the first battle about 25 times, ha ha ha. Here's a quick summary: 1. Max xp rate, 2. max agility/attack/defense (lvl requirement gets in the way), 3. Max speed once step two is completed, 3. do whatever. You really don't need magic in this game, but it definitely makes things a little bit easier.
Personally I think a couple of commentators here are being too harsh with little reason to back up their claims. I rated it 3/5 for three reasons:
1. Glitch; keep running and they can't kill you
2. No health bar or a finite number of lives, at least from what I can tell.
3. There's no story behind the game.
The 3rd reason is more biased, but I think a plot would be better for this type of game. It doesn't make sense, at least to me, why the guy would be in a random vault with werewolves, while possessing the ability to turn into a mutant (?). I think placing this in the pixel genre was a smart move since it has pretty basic controls, but spice things up by getting the player emotionally attached to the game.
First time I was not able to get past this one part. This was my second time and I am proud to say I was able to beat it. 5/5 and favorited. Don't know why, but I think the reason why I like it is because of its simplicity. There's not a lot of games whose controls are easy to remember these days.
677 seconds first time. Just get the shield power-up and lightly tap the small meteorites. For the bigger ones just send a couple of bullets to change their trajectory. Remember, you lose the game IF they hit you without a shield. I've had a couple of close calls where they almost grazed my base. You don't want to hit them straight up; wastes more bullets. Hit them on the SIDES. If the big meteorite comes then just make sure you have full ammo. For those you want to press the space bar to send out the tightly packed bullets. Once again, hit it ON ITS SIDE. DoomDeath has a pretty good strategy too.
Easy-peasy. Played this like a year ago and I can tell you; this was NOT easy a year ago. I guess practice not only makes perfect, but makes the whole damn thing easier too.
This is supposed to be fun and only require thinking NOT physical labor...1/5. Don't get me wrong, this is creative. But invoking a lot of work from the player? Aye, not my cup of tea.
Sweet! 1st try I got Hypher Sonic. I was only 1% away from 90% though...How disappointing. 5/5 for game play and creative idea of buying stuff with a simple game like this.
If you start to have 3 or more yellow small guys on you, take them out first THEN work on the yellow orb. If you let them mass then you will die while you try to destroy the yellow orb. This is how I died two times. I forgot about the yellow attackers and they started to mass in the lots. Red guys are iffy, but you do not really want them to mass either. Just alternate between hitting the yellow orb and the small enemy ships; balance is key. With this build you should have destroyed 1/2 of the middle yellow orbs. Upgrading your allies is recommended because soon they will be releasing these guys who drop mines (?). By this time your shield should be lvl 4 so you can focus on destroying the yellow orbs. Anyways, destroying the inner yellow orbs should be a breeze and what is left of the middle orbs. If you get to have enough ether then buy weapon lvl 4 so the process can go faster. After like 5 minutes you would have beat the game! Cool game indeed.
You can provoke the yellow orb and get swarms of enemies near you, but use this in caution. Once your allies are at lvl 2, your shield is like at lvl 2 - lvl 3, and your weapon is at lvl 2 THEN you can start bombing the yellow orbs. You should be able to take out the outer orbs with this build. Unfortunately, by the time you were able to do this they would have upgraded 2 times. You should have shield lvl 3 by this time and enough ether to upgrade your allies. DO IT. I was lucky because I took the signs of omen and upgraded my allies. If you leave your allies at the same lvl then 3 minutes after they upgraded it should say your base is taking heavy fire. Being smart, I upgraded my allies. Anyways, by defending your base and what not you should now have enough ether to upgrade your weapons to lvl 3. You might also want to upgrade your engine to lvl 3 so you can catch up with the middle yellow orbs. This is where some smart thinking comes in.
Ok, so I just defeated hard mode on my 1st try. Here are my upgrades I used to beat it:
Shield - lvl 4
Allies - lvl 4
Weapon - lvl 4
Engine - lvl 3
I used nothing else. For the first 10-ish minutes DO NOT attack the yellow orbs. You will die. I did the SAME stupid mistake TWICE.
TOO short. 5/5 for content, but wished there was more of a challenge. Only died once because I forgot to look at my shield level. Just upgrade your shield twice, cannon two times (3rd is optional), engine three times, ally ships 3 times (very important) and you should be good to go.
Awesome game. Needs option to buy more than 500 ammo though. I saw that the chainsaw wasted WAY too much ammo. I would be forced to then switch to the gattling gun until I got enough ammo again to use the chainsaw.
