I created this game in 1 day (design+development+sound) :) and I know it is basic and simple. Anyway I`m open to any suggestions that can make it more fun. Thanks for your comments
actually, I didn't expect people to welcome this game, I even published it much late of my other games, now that I see people are interested in this Basra game, I`m planning to make a clean polished version 2
I released this game years ago for mobile, thats why it is too small, I know the game play isnt the best too just thought of exposing it to the world, nothing to lose for both of me and you
part 6:
Scoring:
The score is based on the total number of cards collected by each player during the whole game. The player who has more cards at the end of the round score 30 points
Each Bassra adds 10 points to the score of the player who gets it.
The score is calculated at the end of each round and is shown on the player's panel.
The uncollected cards at the end of the round goes to the last player who collected cards
part5:
Jacks have a special property:
A Jack collects all the cards on the table leaving it empty.
If you play a Jack when the floor is empty, it does not collect anything, but just remains on the floor. Collecting this Jack using another Jack counts as a Jack Bassra.
The Seven of Diamonds, Komi, behaves in a similar way to a Jack - it collects everything on the table:
If there is only one card on the table, the Komi ( 7) collects it as a Bassra.
If the cards on the floor are all numerals, and their values add up to 10 or less, the Komi ( 7) collects them as a Bassra.
If the cards add up to more than ten, or include picture cards, the Komi ( 7) still takes all the cards but it does not count as a Bassra.
If there is only a Jack on the table, you can collect it with the Komi ( 7) or another Jack to make a Bassra.
Basra rules part3:
Playing:
When the players are ready to start a game, the first round starts. The number of rounds to be played depends on how fast a player achieves or exceeds the target Game Score.
Two, three or four players play the game with the standard deck of cards moving anticlockwise. The number of shuffles per round is determined by the number of players.
The table gets 4 cards only in the first shuffle of each round. At the beginning of each shuffle, each player gets 4 cards.
When all players have played their four cards, another shuffle of four cards are dealt (but no more cards are dealt to the floor) and the game continues.
Each player tries to collect the maximum number of cards in his/her turn.
Basra rules part2:
Strategy:
It is important to remember the cards that have been played. Towards the end you know what cards your opponent is likely to have and what has already been played and you can use this knowledge to collect valuable cards.
An important tactic is to clear the floor with a Jack when you know that your opponent's next play to the empty floor is likely to give you a Bassra. On the other hand, if the sum of cards on the table is less than 10 and you can't collect, avoid throwing a card that would help the next player to win a Bassra.
Basra rules part1:
Game Idea:
KOMI or Basra, is a popular card game in the Middle East. KOMI can be played by 2, 3 or 4 players who try to collect cards from the table.
During a round (where the 52 cards are dealt), each player gets 4 cards per shuffle. Players try to collect as many cards as possible from the table during each shuffle.
To start playing cards, click the card (s) you'd like to collect from table, then click the matching card from your deck. In case of Jack and Komi, clicking the card would automatically collect all cards on the table.
The score is calculated at the end of each round. The players keep playing rounds until one of them achieves or exceeds the Game Score.
