Also: couple the previous comment I made with a leaderboard. That way you can see how many people raced better than you (and worse than you). :-). 5/5 btw -- it is an innovative way to have a lag-free multiplayer and certainly captured a few hours of my attention, which a good flash game should do.
I'd like to see some sort of scoring system like epic coaster has. I'd also recommend having your sever store the "best run" for each player (if that isn't already the case) and have players always get to compete against their best run. When you load other player Edmus', you should load ones that have a similar score to the player so that they can try to compete against players with similar rankings.
Some useful tidbits of information:
* A list of achievements can be found here http://www.kongregate.com/forums/3/topics/103757?page=1.
* To get a perfect jump, you need to have the first cart be the only cart to land on the next track.
* To do a double tap (or triple tap) do small jumps on the same segment of track.
* Don't try to do tapping if it looks risky. You'll get a better score if you just skip the extra tap and keep going.
And some minor feature quibbles:
* It should only offer to submit your score if you beat your previous score.
* Pressing a key on the submit score screen (even a specific key) to restart would be way better than having to quit.
* A quality option would be very nice. As beautiful as this game is, I keep losing because my computer is an old Pentium 3 and lags occasionally.
This game certainly earns a 5/5 because it does a great job of expanding the "Canabalt" style of game, offering a unique method of scoring that gives higher rewards for taking risks.
Wow! This game was so well made, it makes me want to go out and buy Brisk right away. I especially love how if you hold one key down, other keys are ignored.
A simple tutorial to get you started would be nice. I also found the controls a little awkward given the short time to hit the checker.
A possible idea to improve this game would be different levels that have obstacles (like crokinole -- google it if you haven't heard of it).
