I can agree that I'd want to be able to pick the time to rest at - at the moment I have to abort at the first stage of a dungeon sometimes, because I kill the enemy before I get hit, which means I don't rest, which means I'm stuck fighting the next monster with everything on cooldown. Needless to say, I end up getting pummeled, when I could easily beat it (considering I've reached the 4th or 5th monster in the dungeon). So, an option to rest after any battle (no matter how much damage you take) would be nice.
Once I was halfway through level 8, I couldn't produce toxins or anything else, besides slicers. After this happened the first time, I tried restarting, but the same thing happened on my second playthrough.
Game is broken in several ways, in the terms of balance. For example, if you play a Sea Water Clan Mage can never get ranked higher than 6, since you'll never have enough mana to beat the Red Fire Mage leader. You need enough mana to be able to drain them dry, and kill them, before they drain your entire mana pool. With the time limit you cannot get enough mana, even if you do NOTHING besides training (and the forced activies, naturally) until the very time limit needed to get the top ranking.
As a Chaos Fire Mage, I couldn't get past the Sea Water Mage leader, because I couldn't overpower him due to the broken turn appliance of Mana Burn. I attack with A, he defends with A. He uses Mana Burn, I get to do nothing. Wait, what? Alright, so he can endure both my regular attacks (maxed at 6), while I get mana burned until I'm all dry, being unable to do anything. I cannot use my special, since I'm not even allowed to act during the turn where he uses mana burn. Thus, utterly broken.
