Am I the only one who finds the text EXTREMELY annoying?. I mean, aside from the spelling mistakes, all of the game looks like it's been written by someone with a not-so-good english proficiency. I'd suggest finding a reviewer for the in-game text. I can volounteer if you need.
@ JIMGREER: my personal problem isn't that of MMOs getting badged. There's a brickload of good MMOs that totally deserve their badges. My problem is that even if they're crappy (such as Call of Gods here is, imho) they still get badged, even when their quality is low. Furthermore, they get to be recommended. I always see at least 5 spaces reserved for MMOs on the front page, even when these MMOs are virtually indistinguishable one from the other.
One example: Buggle Connect is fun, elegantly designed, has a good replay value and more than a bit of strategy is needed to play. It's a fun, simple and fresh game even now, without being moronically simple. Its score is 4.08, a full half point more than Call of Gods, but it's got NO BADGES. I'm not here to accuse anyone, but it seems to me kongregate has a particularly good (and sometimes unjustified) opinion of fantasy MMOs.
When I, time ago, read the "part of GameStop network" part on the Kongregate logo, I SWEAR I saw all of this coming.
I'll say this here and I'll go on saying this whenever I get the chance to: GameStop EXISTS to promote crap like this. Just as it exists to promote crap like the endless parade of Call of Duty sequels and to constantly blow new material into the infinite ocean of dumbassed, banale and repetitive "videogames" it sells.
It's not Kongregate the problem, once there were beautiful multiplayer games (like buggle connect, remember that?), now there is only an ever-growing wave of identical clones of the same washed-out copy of the ugly twin of warcraft 3.
It's GameStop that encourages this kind of crap, and we all should do something to stop it.
I can't believe you come up with something like this and I can play it for free, while it would cost me 60 bucks to play some black ops crap.
I'm astonished beyond words.
This game is absolutely AWESOME.
I'm f*cking rating 5 stars.
And now, on to play Born to be Wild.
If I could help in any way fix that sh*t caused by the downrate bots I would do it instantly.
I hate this kind of things, especially on a site I like.
The game IS very good, not in my personal top 5, but it's an unmistakably good game nonetheless.
I'm giving you 5/5 and my personal apologies, 'cause I know none of the people who downrated this is going to actually apologize.
So, I'm sorry for that.
Keep up the work, it's good.
I'm sorry if I sound blunt, but this game has no positive aspects I can think of. Aside from the "spherical object", which is the last in line... the movement system is the most counter-intuitive thing I've ever seen, the inventory is cluttered and chaotic, there's broken english all over it and it doesn't add anything new to the escape the room genre, while taking away anything good it had.
Sorry, but that's no more than a 2/5 for me.
Kongregate, I have loved you deeply, but now... I'm sick of this horde of mmorpgs, each one worse than, yet unbelievably equally boring as their predecessors. I'm sick of these titles taking over the frontpage and I'm incredibly, sick of this advertising. PLEASE, STOP.
"Did you know there are user-created castles in this game?"
In a game called "crush the castle 2 - PLAYER'S PACK?"
Really? Amazing, I'd never have guessed THAT without your suggestion.
Geez...
