You know, it actually makes A LOT of sense that these rocket hulls can't glide. If they could, Then the launch trajectory wold be severely messed up because it they could glide, then angling the things straight up would produces forces pulling the thing backwards or forwards or left or right; not good for a rocket launch.
dafuq is up with the tophat clan airship, there's literally no reason for the rotor in the back to be running if the airship is still. The reason why helicopters have a rotor in the back is to counteract Newton's third law on the torque generated by the single rotor on the top of the helicopter. The tophat clan airship's design does not warrant a rotor in the back to be running unless the ship is turning.
For those getting stuck in the starbase, it's the music that's glitching up. The game can't load audio files for some reason. Turn sound and music off and that should fix it.
