Good way to get people far away if you don't have sniper or long-range guns is to press shift to focus your fire rather than having it spray all over, this may also slow you down but it's worth it.
maybe a rewarding system like every time you level up you get 10 gp I am just suggesting that way people can get premium weapons instead of spending there kreds to get gp.
