This is an absolute trash game. Zero strategy involved. Would you like to start a map surrounded by enemies and scattered to the winds with no way to possibly defend all borders at once... well, too bad, here you go. Like Risk, but more terrible than that terrible game.
Need map badly. Keep getting stuck/unable to move after opening pack. Inventory too small, so very very slow...lots of suck happening here. Otherwise it might have been a good game.
Bad quality, poor gameplay, unimaginative cards. Mainly though I am sick of playing against an opponent who simply has more mana to summon than me and there is nothing I can do about it.
Hi mistert79, we agree the AI could be improved so we could avoid giving it more mana & life to make even battles, but regarding the rest of your comments, we'd love to hear more about it, we are always open to suggestions!
This game sucks. Upgrades cost too much and don't do much...plus the mechanics are not explained, nor do they seem to follow any discernible pattern. Three thumbs down. Go play a good launcher game, then this, and you will see just how much this sucks.
The difficulty curve I this game is atrocious. Also, it needs the ability to auto-target monsters over resources so I don't have to keep toggling it. A faster way to upgrade units would be nice too.
Game sucks, because towers are very type specific as to what they will kill effectively, however they have no advanced targeting system t actually get them to hit these types.
Started out with a 5/5 rating for the game, but after playing a little while had to lower to 3/5.
Its a nice game with some good card art, the voiceovers for the cards are just weird, but whatever...
Flaws: Enemies who start with more hp, more base mana, and have higher mana caps is completely unfair to the player. I don't care if it is "for making it more challenging" it completely ignores the limitations of a card game, essentially making it feel like you are playing enemies that are able to cheat at will and that is rather lame.
Upgrading cards is rather weak.
Survival games where the enemy is just mauling you because they have super high starting mana/hp and you are just trying to not die are lame, as you can't really win, and just taking a beating while not dying for 4 rounds doesn't feel very victorious.
Hi mistert79, first of all thank you very much for taking your time in writing such a detailed comment of the game. We definitely agree on the voiceover points needing a revamp, unfortunately we don't have the budget to hire an external audio service and some of those had to be recorded by us. Regarding the Mana and HP, it's indeed the only way we have to make the game challenging, otherwise you would always end up winning every stage, no matter what. And that's something we didn't want to have for obvious reasons. Besides, we try to balance the player experience to only find those levels from time to time. Regarding the cards upgrading (I guess you mean the Craft?), we revamped the Deck Builder (available on the next update). Anyways, feel free to join the forums (http://frozenshard.com/games/magicquesttcg/forums/) and make your suggestions there since we'd love to hear them, thanks again mister!
Only an okay game. Several factors hold it back: 1. The upgrade towers system sucks, choosing between abilities and damage sucks because without damage the ability generally doesn't matter. 2. It is intensely difficult. 3. Scenery often blocks the best placement points and is not removable. 4. Upgrades to gear are very expensive in town and don't do much. 5. You level up by playing levels, but get nothing for it? Lame...
Overall a good game with total lack of polish or refinement. 2/5
