yeah that hero level limit that needs shards to increase the cap is a bad idea. im going to wait to see if that is implemented before i progress any further in the game. its too bad... this is one of the more interesting idlegames and itwould be a shame to spoil it
Super high level heroes were essentially 'broken' and I was having a hard time balancing the game around that. By controlling their level, I can more easily add new mobs/bosses with meaningful rewards and make the mana shard production bonus meaningful again. I'm trying to adjust other 'broken' things as well so it doesn't just feel like I'm trying to drag the game out.
