man in a gap is a very good game, if you ever think of making it into a "real" game i advise you to not change the style, the simplicity makes it good. A simple but very nice addon would be to include achievements for reaching a score of X or trying X times(and if you want to win the competition you should reward achievements with lame hats/shoes/heads/glasses etc. people at kongregate are just crazy about them :D:D:D)
something that would make it better is if you can choose what you upgrade.
And if you make a bar with the possibillity to increase your drifting or grip it would be a great game for now 3.8
