Hi, you can't farm the same boss repeatedly to get a gem drop - you have to push to higher zones and you will get a chance of getting a gem (base 30% chance) from a new boss. This chance is increased to 100% if you had never beaten that zone before (aka first time reaching your highest zone). Sorry for the confusion. The Beginner's Blessing buff is currently misleading as it was meant for a previous patch where bosses did not always drop gems on the first ascension. However, it became a feature to make them always drop on the first run so the buff effectively became pointless. I will remove the buff in the next update
