Uh...Is this an 'Unappreciated gem'? I don't know why this got the badges and card...It's shallow, bland, and overall uninteresting with several broken game mechanics...I figured out that it's cheaper to die and have all my animals resurrected with full health than to buy the supplies at the store early on.
Theres a bug with the Ghost Sniper form (Progression: Fighter, Fighter, Sniper, Advanced Sniper, Ghost Sniper) and its special ability. If you're in the dissasembled form and lose health due to the laser-like attacks some enemies have, you can fall back into the previous level, still invincible, but unable to attack, meaning you just drift around aimlessly.
Theres a tad of a slip-up in the Protectopedia under Destructors. It says that an inflictor is the equivalent of a mage who generalised as much as possible, where it probably means a Destructor is.
Or lets not copy and paste it at all?
I seem to be missing an Ace. I completed all levels save for the Tower of Glory, but theres no Ace on the boss level. Any ideas?
I've bound my Guitar Hero controller to work with this. Carrying over my GH skills meant I ended up with a combo of 160 on Play It Funky, having had played the game for five minutes. Pretty cool.
Ooh, and I just completed Snowflakes without dropping a beat. Bring on Flash Hero, I say. ^^
Tafari seems a bit powerful. He can be switched in against melee-focused opposition and whittle their health away with his Poison Dart, as well as hurting them bad with a Leafy Trap if they try to attack.
To Hakinator: Assuming you were using the vampire Ambrosia Thorn, you evidently missed twice. Annoying, I know, you had a 10% chance of missing each time, and obviously the 1% chance of missing both times happened to you. The chance thing does spoil the game sometimes, with people making a lot of mistakes, yet surviving through tiny chances.
Difficulty is low enough for me to figure out, which is always a plus. Woohoo for games with a target audience of children!
I can't really see any flaws with this game. The animation and art is beautiful, difficulty perfect for the age group, interesting boss fights, generally fun to play. Gave it a 5/5, seeing as I couldn't find anything to deduct points for.
I know you get the Minimalist guitar by picking a song and scoring nothing. I tried to get the butterfingers one by simply playing a bunch of wrong notes, but no love there.
@Geekieassdude: Doeos are on the game Doeo. Read the description.
@Dead Rock: Most people on the interwebs know who Tom Fulp is. But I agree about the system reqs.
4/5
Ugh....This is just one of those times I've looked at a game and thought 'Oh, no, they've given it badges?'
I'm a GH obsessive, so I should like this, but you've made the songs too long, you've changed it dramatically from the last game, meaning any experience there is instantly gone against, leaving us confused whilst you pump the difficulty level up to 'Oh, my fingers are bleeding' levels.
The music is average, graphics have been improved slightly, but it's a serious flash game, so I'm rating it seriously.
It's a high two out of five, but a two out of five nontheless. Sorry.
Needs moar learning curve. 'Nuff said.
Given a deserving 3/5. Could be better if it was made less of an impossible mouse avoider into a more complete puzzler.
Very nice. Good for a quick relaxing fix. No overcomplicated, simple interface, good idea, good execution, no annoying music.
I see no flaws in this game. Fiven'd.
I've invented a new game! I call it... Idle Dolphin Olympics!
Set your dolphin going at a perfectly flat skim along the surface of the ocean... Hold up and click off the game/onto chat. Your dolphin will slowly but surely gain momentum, until (after a few hours) going at speeds never before seen by dolphin kind (except the dolphins who played the game properly)!
Top quality.
8-bit ftw! Well made game, great quotes. I think the game expects me to grind at the moment though, because the enemies seem to decimate my party in one hit. Bugger.
Sorry for the double-comment, but I's just calling dem as I sees dem. What are beta testers for?
In my opinion, Vanessa Voss is slightly overpowered. She has a fairly powerful, cheap, fast main attack, two distance attacks, life drain, and an ability that allows her to rip through anyone with much dark resistance.
I'm vaguely confused by what skills like Vanessa Voss' Radiance Burst mean when they are described as 'striking all enemies'. Does this mean it hurts fleeing foes, all the enemy cards in the game, or even that we can expect 2 vs 2 matches?
