If you are having trouble with the second level you are taking the wrong approach to the problem. If balancing scale-style is too hard, then try an approach that does not depend on balance.
Awesome job on the sequel. The feeling after watching the dvd and hearing those footsteps behind you was creepy. Of course, suspecting what was coming couldn't stop me from trying to confirm it by turning around
Kain: For twin peaks, try to grab every dactyl you can when going up the first peak. How to know when they come? Just look for dactyls in the background. Every time a dactyl group appears in the background, a group of real dactyls is incoming shortly after.
You start with higher initial arcane the higher lvl you are. So there is actually a benefit beeing higher lvl than your opponent. So when you can't get more life max, you'll be getting arcane instead.
eh, got the same problem as previous posters. Coming back too the game, some of my saved games have disappeared. Lost around 3 maps of gameplay. Guess I won't continue with this game anymore.
TheLostAngel: The game has a reset button, but it's only in one place where it is needed. First screen can't be messed up, it's a cycle so just redo the cycle if you do something wrong. Second screen can be messed up, but as soon as you made a serious mistake, clicking liam the sidekick will reset the scene. Third scene, nothing to be messed up here, you can keep trying until you eventually die, but then the scene will reset anyways. Same thing with fourth scene, you will die at any mistake thus resetting the scene.
The defensive part of the AI seems somewhat ok, although sometimes veradux just refuses to re-energize for several turns even though he's at 0 focus.
The offensive part of the AI really lacks any thought. It doesn't seem to be anything remotely close to an AI behind it, just a random between what skill to use and another random on what enemy it will hit. My gunslinger I received at the valley has 0 str and lots of magic, clearly a magic user. Yet, she persistently tries going melee while at full focus!!
This game would be so easy if you had the chance to control the other characters and not having to rely on some people not paying attention to their own class and stats distribution.
I don't really see any other way of completing alternative pink the way I'm doing it and I've been trying everything that could work as a shortcut but I'm not able to get the lightning finish. Isn't that level a little bit too tight on the timer? I'd definitely say so
If you aim at the right spots you can make your shots ricochet off the boss and hit the rollers. This way you will never be open towards the blue baddies (you are always shooting towards them) and you'll never need to move far from the center of the screen (only a small amount when aligning the ricoshet) thus preventing getting cornered
Mardek's warp spell should be made available from mordics ship. Really annoying to have to replay the entire game for the last 2 badges when you accidently have no saves from pre-entering
I'd say this game is more inspired by Yoshi's island than something else. You feel a familiarity with the design and the types of enemies.
Great leveldesign! I really liked the parts where you had to leave your pizzas on a conveyor or sauce stream to be able to pass obstacles which required you to climb on ropes. There's also plenty of variations between each level so it never feels repetitive. Well worthy a 5 in platform game standards
Really lots of bugs and bad collision detection in this one. Not to mention jump button failing to register which happened alot before the pyramid chasms.
Awesome game. One of the few flash chapter-rpgs that will actually keep your char data between the chapters.
Well executed timing-battle-system which lowers the repeating feeling of all battles by far, a repitition that is so common in other flash rpgs.
Luckily, I didn't seem to encounter any of the bugs mentioned by other posters.
