random thoughts:
The game as a whole seems pretty solid, though it needs to move faster for more action etc. possibly including quotes on the cards would give colour/personality to the characters. Some sort of story line would be interesting, where certain characters get polished off, while others gain experience and learn new abilities to mix things up abit.

+5 energy at the end of your turn, while you have less energy than the opponent.
Open.
Mirror Shield
Reflects 2 damage back towards the opponent, per strike.
Green set only.
claws of darkness.
Your single hit dark magic attacks deal extra damage equal to the light magic defense of the opponent.
Grey set only.
Blood burn,
Basically, spend one turn, to deal an extra 10 damage (over five turns) and prevent 10 damage, unless your fighting ominaru, which this attack is rather effective against, but still... its a whole turn, for a reasonably minor effect, what say, -1 speed aswell?

+3 Light magic resistance.
Usable only by black set.
Sheild of faith.
+3 dark magic resistance.
Usable only by Green set.
Cursed sword of biting.
Single hit attacks +8
-3 physical defense.
Usable by red set only.
Boots of speed,
+1 speed.
-5 energy cost to change range.

Enchanted weapon.
+1 damage.
+10% hit rate.

and quickening powder, 8% chance for a double move, that could and probably would be game winning event, but is it tempting enough to use? even 10% maybe better? thoughts?
Flash power... seems to me like, "well i could choose a card that will provided an immediate benefit, but instead i'll get flash power, that way if i screw up i wont take damage 35% of the time." any thoughts anyone?
Marquis Le Morte hes abit of a well to use an old ccq term, a coaster, hes got the best dark magic defense yes, but his attacks are slow weak and expensive, with no long range, he gets hosed by the close in fighters.
I've just played a game and it appears that even though the range selection was made by each player, we still had to wait until the minute timer, had timed out.... very frustrating.
perhaps if after say 3 rounds it would boot the other player due to inactivity or something.
Erixson, To beat the easy marathon, simple build 2 purple buffer towers, pile on the reds, one necro. and save all your money from about wave 32 or so, then just pile down the dexers. only in the best places, and upgrade them he went around about 3 times before he fell over for me.
in the instructions it says: "this game is based on desktop tower defence, by paul preece. A special thanks to him" so whats all this its a rip, no its not a rip tal, hmm?
