i took the time to level up to max in the Colosseum (ie, everything to level 21) -- and the final level perks are way OP.
After you reach level 20 in all stats, you can get to level 21 in each for 99,999 exp per stat. Then you get the following:
Attack: Sword attacks shoot a 3 beam spread of lightning that deals 999 damage
Magic: All skills use 1 mp
Health: All attacks that hit you deal you 1 hp
I used BennyGreen's method, with one change -- Maxed out knights instead of barricades work even better! Also, you can try using the front line as the ice trap, maxed out it works very well to give the archers and spikes more time to kill. Also, paired with the fireball you can deal triple damage if that's what you like :P
please, cut down the load time for the menu! It's a fun game, but when you play one or two puzzles each go, it's frustrating to wait through the long sponsors and menu loads over and over...
Needs a better control system -- click an drag is always annoying IMO. Also, Spawn enemies off screen (or even on the edges), not on top of the player.
Scale difficulty a bit slower after kills/DNA collection -- later game, if you get a kill you can be destroyed by a new spawn as you collect your spoils.
In game, have tool tips or labels to identify which color cell is which upgrade, as well as the cost.
As a player, it was annoying to click the store/game button, since 1) you are using the mouse for movement, and 2) the tail of the movement cursor was at the mouse click location. Remedy -- include a keyboard shortcut, or move the tip of the movement cursor to the click location (either would be more intuitive)
note: make the hover-over text for the characters either take longer to pop up of smaller. it makes it very annoying to use the mouse to click them, which i find easier than the numbers for quick cycling.
Decent idea, lacks major things though. 1) price scalling. Cost scales too fast, makes buying potions late game next to worthless. 2) any decent game creator should know the limits of the systems that will be playing the game. lag was TERRIBLE. provide options to turn off graphics intensive things so lag can be treated. or, just stop the screen shake, and 90% of lag issues will be fixed.
To people who havnt got the medium badge, i didnt either. but wait a few minutes on the screen with your score and it gave it to me so it should to you :)
From oldog -- solution worked for me!
music just blended in perfectly through the whole game. you almost forgot it was there, realizing only the "feel" that it gave the dialogues and fights. 100% enhancement for the game, I never thought about turning it off once. auriplane, wohali: Great work!
@Tryko: Actually, card 8 is not finish an act without getting hit, it is finish 1 act with full health. this can also be achieved using AMU-2 heal overdrive.
For those complaining the warp is "bugged" or "random": Yes, you do die occasionally when warped objects jump back to their original location and you are in it's way. However, the warp follows a set pattern. 1) It "pushes" and "expands" warp-able material from the center of the warp towards the outer edge. (pushes and expands radially outward) 2) in strong warps (ie, stacked), material from the very center region of the warp will expand radially to fill the whole area, pushing material that is not in the center of the warp to the very outside edge. 3) warps behave based on what they see due to the other warps, but that can change when earlier warps get moved.
Also, for lazy people (or if you're stuck) -- a walkthrough! http://www.mofunzone.com/game_cheats/pc_cheats/infinite_monkeys_bending_reality_walkthrough.shtml
great game, some quirks with the fields led to lots of annoying deaths though. the four endings were fun, it felt like you were always finding secrets!
not to the hard badge seekers -- there's not an enemy to beat, you just put all the gems in the statue underground, and then enter the light while the screen is "shaking"
