masks obtained needs to be tied to either TP in or thief level. the ONLY thing that benefits you in prestige are warehouse upgrades so you can obtain tp while idling.
welp, this seems to be "don't upgrade rocket launchers, the game."
tried a rocket launcher focused path, which is great, until you get those bosses they can't reach which have a shield ignoring giant spinning blade that kills everything you have.
basically, you have to upgrade other paths (laser focus?) to be able to progress.
not to mention useless custom weapons, horrible grind if you need to adjust parts, no way to progress or improve if you are stuck on a boss.
don't buy rockets. or don't play this game.
it would be great if the cats jumped when i press up arrow, every time rather than 8/10 times. sometimes i'm smashing the key several times before a ledge, but have to watch as my kittens slowly walk to their doom.
literally waited half a decade for this, ahahah. welcome back! have you decided against hackerstory elements in this iteration? i feel like the extra outside of the world augmentation really gave it a better feeling of gain. are you going to avoid reintegration? or figure out an alternative? because as is, it feels like it has less than the game you made 5 years ago. well i have high hopes to see how this develops, good luck ayumilove!
fantastic visuals, and great gameplay elements with the way all of the objects interact. sadly, you lose almost all inspiration to keep playing when you figure out how gimped the upgrades are. paying to use things you just paid to unlock? not very inspiring. turned a 4/5 star game into a 2/3 star game.
am i the only one completely sick of the "pay to win" model?
a couple bonus items, mostly aesthetic additions, fine. methods of "donating" or showing gratitude to the developer of a "free" game.
if it's not going to be free, then don't make it appear free, but cripple the gameplay for those who don't shell out money to advance.
and making it online only, only took a few minutes in the game to lose progress of what i did, and received the message "inactive for too long, you need to restart". there goes browsing reddit while i play.
this crap has poisoned and killed flash/mobile gaming. the games are no longer fun, and you need to pay just to advance at what would normally be an enjoyable rate.
1/5
upgrading dash only makes it more useless (you can't dodge anything) the game is incredibly short, and is generally unbalanced. the only thing it has going for it is a reasonably nice art style.
kee'tah may be the most annoying boss in any game i've ever played. the gas bombs are way too frequent, so i'm spending 10 minutes behind the boss waiting for the 5 gas bombs to vanish, hoping he doesn't throw more in right as they do. painful. that's not challenge, that's annoyance.
why do my guys stop attacking the place i told them to attack? why is this game so bland? there is no redeemable aspect in this game. hard to believe this could actually be a second installment, i'd fear to see the first.
not finishing this game. can't believe i played it as long as i did. i guess just hoping the problems were temporary. each run you can roughly afford one new upgrade, this upgrade lets you move maybe an extra 3 meters. rinse repeat, get everything, still feel like you're only moving baby steps further. 1/5. if you're going to make a rehash of a popular style of game, at least do it right.
i was just playing a game where there were thousands of things going on at once, with next to zero lag. this game twitches and freezes at every turn, which is unacceptable for a reflex game, with three bloody things to animate. also could use some more features, like upgrades/shop. could have very good rpg-stat based elements. 1/5
