The concept was really nice, but most of the levels didn't really make any sense, and came down to luck as opposed to puzzle-solving skills or strategy. Ruined some great potential here.
This is just an idea: it would be nice to color the background tiles - this way we can mark which parts of our reactor do what. For example, I might color my cooling system tiles light blue, and my cell tiles might be colored red. It's just that when you have a lot of bits going on it can be difficult to tell which parts are which and which parts I should be watching. Also maybe when you hover over a certain colored tile, the other tiles with that same color will be highlighted while the rest will lose opacity while hovering.
Got a bug in level 3-2 (Traitor's Gulch 1/5) that makes the level unbeatable. I can't use the helicopter giraffe while in the spike pit and facing left. I can use it facing right, but that only lets me go back to where I came from. If I try to use it facing left, it flat out will not work and I will just fall and die instead. I can't finish the game now. It was so well crafted too. ):
The quality of the game is fine, but the voice that the alien has really makes this aspect suffer. You would have been much better off without any voices in the game at all - it would have appeared more stylistic and less cliche.
Selene/Ray/Erica retard stronk combo...
Selene as the leader and level Erica's Battle fury, along with pretty much all of Selene's skills. Ray can be upgraded last.
Basically you can tank anything by just spamming Selene's ability, since damage is reduced and you can heal yourself for more than/as much damage as you are taking.
I really wish the game didn't get so difficult that I'm forced to use Ray since nobody else has a damage output that gets anywhere near his...
Nerf Ray, nerf higher levels, allow me to play other characters. Basically you cannot continue without Ray if you want any gold/xp per level and if you don't want to struggle a lot.
good game 5/5
I think the icons in the bottom left for the dart monkeys are in the wrong order. Upgrading a dart monkey to give him a red headband turns his icon into a monkey with a green headband. The green icons look less powerful and it feels backwards.
I found it way too easy to cheat by using the prin screen button and then having a side window of paint to paste the screen in. Maybe restart the level if the game loses focus (player clicks outside game screen or web browser becomes inactive.)
The combat is like a run-down version of bejeweled, the graphics, (here I mean the flash drawings and animations,) are more shoddy than Adventure Quest, and we all know how much that game sucks. On top of being extremely boring, the gold upkeep is absurd as it takes you years to even get through a fight and get the gold and in a matter of a few days you can't even dream of paying it. terrible game... 1/5
so I was almost expecting something like a runoff of Final Ninja, seeing as Nitrome really seemed to enjoy making that series...
then I bent time and space over and had my way with them... simply amazing!
it was pretty easy indeed... I like... humor is great in games like these...
actually humor seems to be all that keeps this game going, but whatever...
kinda boring, a bit too hard as well... maybe you should at least let the health go back to max at the beginning of every wave? and get something more effective at killing them... a money and weapons system would make this worth playing...
