In the endgame, it would be nice if I could use my money to block undesirable items, i.e. mushrooms (since mushrooms are only actually beneficial at the throne).
Update: Kick booster set is viable against final boss. I repeat, max out buff on speed, jump, and kick, 'cuz we're hitting 50 and amethyst flame on the boss. Sidenote: The only type of enemy fire that will NOT be negated by a physical attack is lightning. Everything else can either be hit out of the air or back in the enemy's face. Even ice. Seriously. Just kick through the incoming ice. Or hit it if you feel more comfortable that way.
Also, if you use handcuffs I recomment pairing them with amethyst sword. If you click the amethyst sword's activation in midair while holding down, you'll both kick AND release a (no mana cost) energy blast.
Great for crowd control and anti-dark element (because kicks can return the purple fire blasts, and so can weapons).
Also there are actually but eight hats. Fedora, top hat, baseball cap, tricolor beanie, paper hat, flowerpot, fez, and that one round one that I'm not entirely sure what name best fits.
In the actual lvl 3, there are two exits: One, you can run all the way to the right. Two, you can fall down the hole next two the large falling landmass after the hat-dragon. In the time trial, only the former is usable.
If you keep your eyes and ears open and play the game long enough, classical conditioning will do the rest. The only strategy is choosing when to dash; I found it was most helpful to dash through natural obstacles (branches, tents, and rocks) and stop dashing when human enemies (or arrows) appeared. This was more than enough to get me away from the riders, and made sure I didn't get into impossible situations (like if you dash while shielding from arrows and a branch immediately appears).
