One would need to buy 30 upgrade points to gain the last rank of stat growth. 30x5,000sc=150,000sc. To purchase the upgrades from all 5 stats, you'd need 5x100,00sc=500,000sc. Adding those together you get the combined effect of the Bribe of the Gods upgrade which costs 1,000,000sc. The amount saved: 350,000sc. Why would anyone ever invest like that?
The game itself is fun. The mechanics are great.
My issue is with the 'speedbumps' where you're stuck hitting X repeatedly to get through like 10 windows of NPC dialog. I also hated how long the ending took, given that I stumbled onto the computer and still needed more gems.
