a Max damage +40% fearful tower + 5 full power meteors will kill the lvl 14 ninja boss without freeze or fear. basically build the lvl so that the non boss ninjas are hit near the entrances, even put a single orc next to each entrance. then delete any non-fearful that can reach the entrance after lvl 49. so use only frost on the hills and no orc/demon near the entrances. and you can do it.
lvl 14 brilliant can be done without getting a rare freeze hit. on the 4 hills build frost towers, then fill in the mana generators, focus on adding mostly frost/orc/fire. build one orc tower next to each entrance, no need to upgrade these are just to activate the ninjas. now work to get all of the frost towers to chilly towers maybe one ghost tower away from the entrance. make sure that no orc towers in the middle are ballista that can reach an entrance. fire towers are not really needed. so for most of the game the chilly towers + orc dens will keep mobs back. have meteor ready for assasins/ninjas. then @ lvl 49 have 3 fearful on top and 2 on the bottom that can reach the entrances, delete the orc towers that can hit the entrance. 1 fearful hit @ full upgrade (+40%)+ 5 meteors at 400 will kill the last boss. then done.
i finished the game all expert. generally i only used 2 towers. the multifire and super. for the first 20 place the multifire in the best positions to hit as much as possible, if one of the directions is strait down a path the its best. later on the super is the best. i used no bombs, and only shot for expert once i had bought all of the cash/price upgrades. only the last 5 levels are difficult for expert.
Well i'm a level 132 hunter, with a bowgun mk 25, damage 3, autofire 3, fire rate 3, and one open slot. with a +150% villa, aimed shot 10, power shot 10, i am doing 943 damage a hit. With bowhunter 10 i can one shot a dragon on day 196, actually one shot 2-3 dragons in a row. lol its funny. i need to debate whether to add more damage or more fire rate.. hrmm.
the gravity gun was nerfed, but not really. actually it was given steroids. why? because it doesn't shoot backwards anymore.. i was losing 50-70% of the grav gun shots before teh "nerf" because of shooting backwards.. now they all go forwards so its a net big buff.
at high level for ragnarok, wait until you get a great Active role for +5 or better AP. then Use Party, Pray, and whatever else. hire the henchman, have some grenades, jure or 2, and ragnarok. Start the level, and play until you get rampage active, then use your ragnarok and when they all come on screen use jure. and the dragons should die easily. I did it with Rapid bowgun, 2 grav guns, a shot gun @ level 120. Ragnarok melted.. lol.
i like this game, i just completed level 121 on casual, with a hunter(88). Aimed 10, power 10, bow master 10, rifle 34, Rapid bow mk11/49 damage/5.1 fire rate. with a guardian(lvl 84), militia(lvl 105), noble(128). the fixed grav guns are great. At high level, great skills for npcs are: accountant(lowers wages 43% @ 10), disarm(lowers enemy damage if hit), love(gives cash for exploded sisters), active(gives extra AP), insurance(give cash for hits to castle). if it gets tough, use henchman and set everything to AI and let the computer win, and redo if needed. last level i made 3.7k gold before Eggs. Villa upgrade is better than praying at high level, there is no limit to the damage upgrade.
one big issue, is that the gravity gun fires in the wrong direction when targeting a fast target. its really weakens your party at higher levels. and by wrong direction i mean backwards, thereby making the strongest weapon useless.
First you never have to "carry Over", you can save the game and redo the level. while between fights, click the ball/shield in the lower right corner to save. then when you die exit to title, then continue. also the most powerful mod is "leech", and after level 40 its tough again, as leech is weakened.
Basically the main issue is cash. there is nearly no difference between lower levels and higher levels, while your expenses increase quickly. so if you upgrade your castle you quickly lose the ability to earn money. this happens by level 6+. if you don't buy any upgrades, you could have enough cash to get to house 2 ($2000 + $5000) by level 10 but then getting the extra to recruit is tough. So there should be ways to earn money to offset expenses, so that we can actually buy things.
You people complaining about the developer/Kong selling out, are all living in a dream world. The Developer wants people to play, but people won't pay squat, so in order to make their time programming the game worth more than gum on a sidewalk, they get a sponsor. then you all get a free game and the Developer gets dinner. otherwise whats the point? I guess the poor dev, has to give his work away for free and then scavenge soda cans for recycling to scrounge enough for a meal. bah grow up people, if they get a sponsor good for them, just like any NBA player.
I only had problems with the last level. everything else was too easy. the main problem is that the "efficiency" gauge, forces you to use only simple machines as each powered wheel sucks up too much. and the build zones are very small.
